Why does the media insist that JaMarcus Russell is a bigger bust than Ryan Leaf or Akili Smith

Why does the media insist that JaMarcus Russell is a bigger bust than Ryan Leaf or Akili Smith?
W-L record as starter Akili Smith: 3-14 Ryan Leaf: 4-17 JaMarcus Russell: 7-18 Russell had as many wins as the other two combined and better winning %. Sure Russell was drafted 1st overall, mainly because the talent at QB was very weak at the time. So far the best of that class are Matt Moore and Kevin Kolb, and every single QB signed has yet to play a full NFL season. Imagine last season if Stafford and Sanchez hadn't jumped early, the best QB prospect would have been Josh Freeman, whose style was similar to Russell with a true work ethic. This happened in 2007 and the Raiders, desperate for a QB, took the strongest with the best arm are mechanics. Leaf was taken 2nd behind Manning and they were supposed to have a Jim Kelly vs. Dan Marino or Steve Young vs. Troy Aikman type of rivalry, competing for MVP awards and conference championships. Also San Diego in 1998 was a lot better than Oakland in 2007, San Diego didn't suck, traded up to have the 2nd pick, and just needed a good QB to succeed. Remember SD had the top ranked defense in 1998 and in 1999 went 8-8 with two average QB who were 71 years old combined (Harbaugh and Kramer). Akili Smith was the 3rd pick in 1999 below two QB, usually players taken that early are guaranteed the starting spot but Smith was so bad that he couldn't learn the system. Yes I have seen his stats and COMPARED to the other two, Russell's numbers are slightly better (or not as awful). Contracts change during the years, Ryan Leaf at the moment had the biggest rookie contract ever. @ noscarnage Yes they do, especially when San Diego in 1998 was so much better than Oakland in 2007. @ terry v Agree, most people just see the $28+ millions more than Russell got, without keeping in mind that overall Ryan Leaf was more costly for the Chargers than Russell for the Raiders. After becoming officially the worst team in 2000, in 2001 the Chargers had to trade the 1st overall pick because they couldn't afford him. Fortunately they picked up LT and Drew Brees to get the team back on track. @ Cole Even on that category Russell beats Leaf by a mile. Leaf had a season with 2 TD and 15 Int.

have you seen his stats he sucks
2 :
OK, you're right. Whatever.
3 :
He is called a bigger bust not because he was worse than leaf or smith, it is because of the MASSIVE contract he got. He was expected to be the savior of Oakland and was sure paid like it. He made a significantly larger amount of money than either leaf or smith
4 :
wins and losses don't fall on a qb. The reason is his stats they are really bad, second he was the first overall pick in the draft, and finally the money he even held out training camp to get more money.
5 :
because he is
6 :
I have always held the believe that Leaf was the biggest bust because the Chargers traded away their futrue to get him. They gave Arizona 2- #1 picks,a second round pick as well as 2 players to move up one spot! JaMarcus is still a big bust we can all debate how big but lets face it he has to be in the top 5! What would be great would be for JaMarcus to get picked up with another team and go onto win a SuperBowl. Then we can say it was Al Davis and his senile mind that held him back!Yet I doubt that is the case
7 :
Most people believe what ever the media tells them. They aren't capable of thinking for themselves. Was Russell a bust? Yes, without a doubt. Was he the biggest bust ever? Sorry, but no. The media just needs something to talk about. If they don't talk about the "biggest bust ever" what news will they have to relay to us? Sitting around waiting to see if Favre's going to go through with the surgery or not. Hardly exciting and breaking news.
8 :
RUSSELL STILL HAS A CHANCE TO TURN HIS CAREER AROUND , BUT IF HE DOES'NT HE WILL BE CONSIDERED BUY MOST AS THE BIGGEST BUST, JUST BASED ON THE TOTAL DOLLARS HIS EARNED
9 :
He had 3 TDs and 11 picks last year. He blows.

Is it possible that, in 1994, Ayrton Senna blacked out half way through tamburello, causing him to crash

Is it possible that, in 1994, Ayrton Senna blacked out half way through tamburello, causing him to crash?
In the 1994 Formula 1 San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy, Ayrton Senna was among many drivers that weekend to have crashed. Unlike the other drivers, unfortunately (aside from one test driver the day before the race), Senna suffered brain death and died shortly after the event. From every angle before his accident, it did not look like his car bottomed out, lost grip, or anything, but instead simply "stopped turning left" through the extremely fast Tamburello left hander. Is it possible that, due to the excessive G-force associated with this 190mph left hander, that Senna actually passed out (which is quite possible when anyone is exposed to high G-force), causing him obviously to loose control of his car and stop turning left. It seems quite possible to me, as his car looked to have simply stopped working. Any ideas? Right, I apologize for understating Roland Ratzenberger's contributions to the sport (I'm rather new to formula-1 actually... after being left in the dark all these years). Obviously since I've missed quite a bit in F1 I'm just looking for some answers to build up my knowledge of the sport.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that description. It seems like a very possible event. Ayrton Seena most likely blacked out while turning left.
2 :
we will never know for sure, but you would think he must have....
3 :
We will never know for sure but computer evidence at the time showed that he was using his foot to brake before he hit the wall. Quite a hard thing to do if you are blacked out. The likely cause was broken steering but again as it was damaged further in the accident we will never know for sure. Only Senna could tell us. However, while Roland Ratzenberger was a rookie driver he was not just some test driver, he was qualifying for the race. He was a talent that was never discovered because he never had a chance. As someone who saw both deaths as they happened I think formula 1 was just too dangerous for the speed and ability of the cars.

Is there a class action against Zerona laser

Is there a class action against Zerona laser?
I spent $2200 for 12 treatments and didn't lose a single inch. This is what Dr. Stephanie M. King responded when I told her it didn't work: We will take you off the schedule good luck in the future. It's very unusual to not see any results with either we have never seen that happen before. Plenty of people saying it's a SCAM http://www.realself.com/Zerona/reviews

I did a quick search for Dr. Stephanie M. King, and it turns out she's a CHIROPRACTOR! Why would anyone go to a chiropractor for weight lose treatment? I also did a search for Zerona laser, and found many, many people calling it a SCAM. Really good rule of thumb: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. A quick, simple way to lose inches from your waist falls into this category. The BEST way to do so is good, old fashion work. Eat healthy and exercise. And that is never been accused of being a scam. In fact, it will probably SAVE you money. You don't need to buy organic food that cost twice what other food cost. Just cut out junk food, sweets, sodas, and other non-essential foods, and eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat 5 or 6 times a day, but very small portions. Only eat until you are no longer hungry, not until you are full. And, most importantly, get out and exercise. Walk, bike, jog for at least 1/2 hour a day, but try to work up to 1 hour a day. Do all this, and you will gradually see your waistline slim down, and you will have a pocketful of money from not spending on get slim fast scams or junk food.

I've been offering the Zerona for a year and have also never had anyone not lose inches. Our average loss is 5 1/2 inches in 9 sessions. $2200 for 12 session is very inexpensive - Most charge that for 6 sessions. No one ever guarantees inches lost - most cosmetic procedures make no guarantees of any type. Sorry this did not work for you, but in my personal experience, it has always worked for my patients. I don't know how long ago your last session was, but most patients continue to lose inches up to two weeks after their last Zerona session.

Can I lose 30 pounds this way before September 1st

Can I lose 30 pounds this way before September 1st?
okay, hi! so, im hoping to lose weight this summer before school starts again in August (but i really want to lose 30 pounds total by September). I haven't started weighing myself yet, but this week i have started a plan to help me get started. So far, I have been eating a simple breakfast of cereal im the morning approximately at 9:00 A.M. As for other meals throughout the day, i need help...i try not to indulge in unhealthy foods or snacks as best i can, but i never know what to eat. my mom has helped me buy fruit that i like so that, instead of chips or something, i can eat that. around 6, my whole family goes on a high paced walk (3.7 miles) around San Marino area (which takes us about 1 1/2 hours). after that, we usually have a fruit salad. so i just want to know what is a good balance of food for lunch and dinner, and if you think my plan will work or not. i really hope to get more healthy over summer, so i want to hear what you have to say :) thanks!

Rather then saying "I want to lose 30 pounds", tell yourself - I want to get healthy and fit. Listen to your body, if you're hungry you should be eating, never starve yourself. When hungry, eat something healthy that will fuel your body because that's what food should be used for. If you feel you've over indulged in food, wait an hour for your body to digest the food and then work out harder then you normally would work out to burn excess caloric intake. If you are eating healthy and exercising, you aren't going to be fat and you should look fit - think of it that way. If you are eating junk or eating too much and not getting enough exercise - your body is going to reflect such. The high paced walk is good. You may want to add some weight training in along with the cardio, it's best to do a combination of both. Also, I'd suggest changing up your exercise routine from day to day so that you don't get bored of it and also so that you can challenge your body because your body will become used to a routine if you do it daily and it won't improve further. For lunch, try salad. Darker lettuce is better for you then iceberg lettuce which has no nutrional value. Avoid croutons and bacon bits. Don't add extra cheese. Instead of creamy dressing, make a healthy home made salsa and use that as a dressing or squeeze lemon or lime juice on top of the salad. For dinner, try salmon or grilled chicken. Good luck
