Commute time between Woodland Hills & Arcardia. Commute time btwn WH & Palos verdes estate)?
Hello, We are planing to move into a LA area. We have been furiously researching school districts. we have narrowed down our "place to live" to La Canada, Calabasa, Palos Verdes Estate, Arcadia/San Marino. My husband will be working in the woodland Hills (WH) area. What is the avg commute time between WH & La Canada; WH & Palos Verdes Estate; WH & Arcadia; WH & San Marino. Is there public transportation connecting WH from any of these areas? THANX!

Quite frankly, I would not recommend commuting to Woodland Hills from any of those places unless you are willing to sit in traffic for an hour each way. Many people from outside the area do not realize how vast the LA region is or how long it takes to get around. I don't know where you got these places, but you seem to have cherry-picked the richest and most upscale cities in the area. If you are concerned about schools, I can tell you that each school district is very diverse and you can find good schools in most school districts as long as you are in the right place. For example, some parts of Los Angeles have excellent schools (Brentwood, Bel Air, Hollywood Hills, etc.) but you will never find out because their numbers are brought down by the rest of the LAUSD. Regarding public transportation, the main commuter transit in southern California is Metrolink, and the closest station to WH is either Chatsworth or Northridge on the Ventura County line, but both of these are several miles away and you will need to take a bus.

1. Places to live...Calabasas is right next to Woodland Hills; Palos Verde Estates is about 45 miles away on the coast (not recommended); La Canada (pron. can-yada) about 25 mi from WH; San Marino is adjacent to Pasadena while Arcadia is somewhat further out...All of these areas are high end with excellent places to live ($$$$$)...Without knowing for sure, I would rank all of the school districts as very good. 2. Commute times would range between 15 min from Calabasas to sometime tomorrow for RPV to1.5 hrs from La Canada, 2 hrs from Arcadia and S. Marino...Take a gander at the link below. All the best

what do you think is the main idea in this short paragraph

what do you think is the main idea in this short paragraph?
one night in the seventies, friends and I, probably stoned, created a travel agency of the mind. We'd offer package deals to tiny countries (Andorra, San Marino, Fiji), or to countries colored green on the globe, or we'd organize terrorism tours to the sites of bombings, kidnappings and assassinations. (I used to walk a version of that in Washington on my way to work.) We would call our agency Book in Haste, Repent at Leisure. just aliitle lost if someone can help me i would appreciate it thanks...

Lots of us are against homosexuality, but do not hate homosexuals. Frightening that any nations would sanction by exclusion the extrajudicial, summary execution of anyone. Exception is terrorists, of course.
5 :
this is infidel world vs muslim world with china voting against just because it is against any kind of human rights in general and Russia on the other side just because its anti US

Those groups are totally wrong, they are not the ones in this Euro. Group A for example is Portugal, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Turkey. Check the official Euro 2008 site.
